Hi there!

About us

The concept was born in 2016 as the initiative of its founders, François and Emi. François is the director of the Art Gallery Galerie Le 1040

Both of them have always been fans of rich-colored Japanese motifs and the delicacy of their fabrics. Inspired by the creativity and cultural richness of this country, they set out for Japan in search of unique products; these include vintage kimono and noren, which they consider to be works of art in their own right.

Encourage Minimal Packaging

We select our suppliers carefully and use packaging materials that are either reusable or recyclable. We've also joined the Zero Waste Quebec Association (Association Québécoise Zéro Déchet) since 2020.

Give Back to our community

Our mission is to deliver happiness and we are glad to be able to give back to our local community!

In the past few years, we have worked with social workers from a local college and together we've delivered Christmas socks to the people without housing in Downtown Montreal.

We've donated 10% of our sales to The Nutcracker Fund for Children and hundreds of pairs of socks to the organization of D'UN COUVERT À L'AUTRE, community organization whose mission is the social and professional reintegration of people affected by schizophrenia.

Earlier this year, we donated more than 300 pairs of socks to Plamp, a nonprofit organization which runs intervention project for minors prostitutes and helps young adults and women who suffer from domestic violence and sexual abuses.

It couldn't make us happier; knowing what we do puts a smile on their faces! As entrepreneurs, we believe it is important to be involved in the local community by providing assistance to the less fortunate and we will continue to do so.

Come and discover individual and unique gifts for all occasions and home accents inspired by our love of travel and art!
